January 2010 Who’s DDM?

A new year, a new me. Didn’t I say that last year? The thing about a new year is that we can start all over. Who cares about last year? It’s all fresh. And besides, this is the start of a new decade.

So after a really long hiatus, I have returned. And I am on fire, friends. I just hope I’m not down to cinders by the end of the month. I have already separated 9 years of photos into yearly albums. I KNOW!  Yes, clapping is acceptable. I have wanted to get that done for years now. First resolution off the list. I just have to get the albums made and some pictures framed.

Another thing on the list is- predictable- obvious- even boring- to finally get the last 15 lbs of baby weight off.  Didn’t I say that last year? Hubby and I are a week into a 30 day cleanse, feel great, and 6 lbs are gone off me. I am running and back at the gym getting myself a foundation to train for another fall half marathon this year. I am hell bent on doing it this time. For real. I am not just spewing out hot air here.

The other biggie for me is writing a book I have been sitting on for a couple of years. I said I was going to do this last decade but it did not work out for various reasons and now I have a plan, have a rough outline, and am ready to get cracking. What makes this possible is that I have 2 afternoons FREE! I have a get out of jail free card! Twice a week! The Destroyer started nursery school with Spark Plug. I am thrilled. Beyond comprehension. Hey, let’s be honest. I love my Wee Ladies, but man, I was ready to have some independent time. So with this time I will write. Like I am doing right now.

Hubby is excited to be in a new position at work. He is settling into a new routine and is happy about his direction.

EvieG loves grade 1 and is learning to ski. She went on the big hill on her second trip to the hill. Spark Plug is also excited about skiing and loves that her little sister, The Destroyer is at nursery school with her now. The Destroyer is a force on the hill and will be interesting to watch as she improves. She is also excited to have some time away from me while at school.

There have been lots of changes and we are headed in a direction that leads to more stability in all areas of life. We couldn’t be happier. I look forward to seeing how it all plays out.

Happy New Year!

All’s I’m sayin’s all.
